This past week was awesome! The guys that I had in COPE this week were the best guys I’ve had down there ever. There were some events this week that weren’t great, but they are over now and things are back to being awesome.
Erin and I had a bit of a falling out during the middle of the week, which wasn’t good. It was probably wose than us breaking up, but we worked our way through it and now are back to normal.
I’m still missing Erin a lot, not necessarily in a relationship sense, but more of a friendship sense. Don’t get me wrong, I miss dating her, but that’s not the main reason that I miss her; I miss being able to just sit down with her, do something completely ridiculous and laugh at each other. It’s the simple things that I miss most.
Wednesday evening, we all stole the weather rock, and by we, I mean not me, BUT I was on the planning committee. 😉 For those of you who don’t know, the Weather Rock is a rock tied to a tripod that lets you know the weather, i.e. if it’s wet, it’s raining, if it’s swinging, it’s windy, if it’s gone, there’s been a tornado (or, in our case, it’s been stolen :-P). They put it right in front of the flag poles, a simple hiding spot, but it took Luke two hours to find it! He ran all over camp between 2am and 4am looking for the thing. The great part is that the rock sits in Ecology, and Ecology is just a stone’s throw away from the flag poles… hahaha
Anyway, it’s shower time so I can make it into Steak ‘n’ Shake for some breakfast. I will post in the LJ sometime this evening or tomorrow evening.
I posted the pictures of the week in The Photoblog.
peace out yo!
The End-of-the-Blog Rundown
Current Music – American Pie – Don McLean
I’ve been listening to this song a lot lately, and the lyrics are in my head while I’m doing things. There are so many great memories tied up in that song for me, every time I hear it, it’s like a trip down memory lane.
Quote of the Day – “He traded slop buckets for stock options.” -Jimi while talking about “Unke Gill” and how he saw him in Indianapolis.
Room 6 Moment of the Week
(Luke is humming the song that never ends)
Thad: Oh, Dear God!
Luke: Thad is writing a letter. “Dear God, How are you?”
Darwin Award for the Week of June 20, 2004
This goes to Wonton Will for all the times he’s rigged a belay system backwards down at COPE. If he could remember what he did wrong each time, he would be able to rig everything right the first time.
Current Mood – – Happy! Does it really need any explanation?
Until the next post…
