Happy Twenty-Ten a.k.a. Two-Thousand Ten

A new year, new beginnings, new experiences, new challenges, new everything!

I geek out on apocalyptical theories and this week is making me like a kid in a candy store — it’s Armageddon Week on the History Channel! Every night, there’s a new show about the end times, focused on the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2012.

Last night, Apocalypse Island where a dude, who you think is two hairs away from bat-shit insane throughout the whole show, is on a quest to look up a supposedly Mayan monument on the Robinson Crusoe island in the Juan Fernandéz Archipelago off the coast of Chile, east of Easter Island. The show talks a lot about Mayan culture, how they could have arrived at the island, and culminates in the two men climbing up the 150′ monolith, carved out of the hillside. All of this got me thinking: if the world is going to end on December 21, 2012, I better get started on my 101 goals in 1001 days, otherwise I’m not going to finish before the world ends.

Starting today, I’m going to begin my journey through the 101 (now 79) goals with the hopes of ending two months and two weeks before the great apocalypse on October 1, 2012.

It’s more than a resolution, it’s a journey, an epic quest to get stuff done. I’m really excited about the new challenges that lie ahead of me and am mentally prepared to make the list happen.

That’s all I have for now, happy new year and you’ll be hearing from me here more often 🙂
